My dietitian wants me to get more protein into my meals but protein is so expensive. How can I add protein and not spend so much? I am doing a lot of chicken but that adds up quickly. I do eggs ones a day, yogurt or cheese, or tuna (twice a week), but what else can I make with protein that isn’t as much as chicken?
(I’m not so into beans, except in cholent)

I was surprised but my rd counts quinoa as a carb.
I do some cheese but I don’t love love cheese. What can I do with cheese to incorporate it to be enough protein in my meal?

How much is chicken in your kosher stores? The sales are great in many places. Whole turkey in the kosher sections of non kosher stores are sometimes super cheap.
Chicken thighs, ground chicken, turkey, sardines, canned salmon , mixed ground chicken and meat package..

Chicken cutlets are $5.99 a lb I think or maybe $6.99. One package is $30 or so. Expense are really tight but I love cutlets. Chicken on the bone about $20 a pack, I get that too but can’t eat it every day.
I don’t like a lot of things also which is hard. Like meatballs or ground chicken or meat of any sort.

It's mostly a carb bec a half a cup has 4 g protein and 20 g carbs. You're supposed to eat 20-30 g of protein each meal so it doesn't help much for protein.

I’m not sure how to do that. I’m trying to acquire the taste for hummus but I can’t stomach it. Meatballs and chopped meat I’ve just never liked

Go vegetarian. Combine whole grains with legumes, nuts, or seeds, e.g. beans and rice, risi e bisi (rice and peas) bread and peanut butter, corn and lima beans. Each variety provides certain amino acids, and the combination yields a complete protein. (Soybeans and soy products like tofu and soy milk can stand alone as they provide a complete protein.) A bit of animal protein such as milk, egg, or a few bits of cheese, fish or meat amps up the protein but isn't necessary at every meal.
Search "vegan foods" for lists of food combinations that yield complete proteins. I listed a few but there are many more.

I don't think you can not like tofu, It's pretty tasteless. It's just a matter of finding the right recipe.
Also chop meat/chicken I thought I hated it till I found one recipe I loved. Turns out I only like it sweet. So like savory burgers I don't like but I do like a meatloaf with a sweet tomato sauce. If you Google recipes for meatballs, there are some interesting ones out there.
Chickpeas are easy to add to a salad, roast for a snack, etc. Lentils are also good same way. Lentil soup or pea soup are a great way to start a meal or have a lunch
