I don't think I know any Aidels here in Israel, I only knew in America.

Litvish chareidim really don't use any Yiddish names.

Americans? I can't think of one Israeli litvish Aidy.

No, Israelis.
And to say they don't use any yidish is also not true.
It may be less common but there are plenty of Gitty. Libby, Rechy, Raisy, Etty,
I think they use more shorter names so the long yidish names are not used.

Libi could literally be a name alone. Although, with Charedim more likely to be Liba. I know one Israeli Charedi Libi for Liba. I know it's Liba because she needed tefilos.

Etty is almost always Esther amongst Israelis.

The other names you listed, I dont know any. I dont live in a very Anglo area by far.

I'd say rarely. It happens but isn't common. I don't think any of my girls have a yiddish name in their class. DD's name sounds yiddish but really it's tanachi but rare. There is 2 in the whole school a grade apart. They are often confused.

I have another kid with a yiddish middle name but legally I only did the Hebrew name. I didn't want her to hate her name. In America, it would totally fly.

Yiddish names in Israeli crowd is getting alot less common, I have 2 neighbours in their 30s called gitty but you won't find any Israeli young girls called that.
I wanted to use that name after my grandmother but DH is very worried of how the child will feel having what would be and 'old style' name.
I totally get that, my 2nd name is a less common name and I hated it as a child, I wouldn't let anyone know it.

It is is a hard name for Israelis to pronounce. With an Israeli accent it sounds like aiden. Most will mistakenly hear the name eden unless its spelled for them. The Aidel that I know uses the name Adelle in professional settings in order to avoid repeating, explaining and spelling her name again and again.

I'd pronounce it Aydel, but I'm really only interested in the Israeli norms, not the US. Thanks anyway

I think most would assume her name is Adel/ Odel, as in connected to Rebbe Nachman. I haven't heard of many Aidels here.

I think I know one Gitty, one Rechy.
Etty is common but usually short for Esther; Libi (not Libby) is common but a nickname for Liba. Raizy I know a couple of them, all adults either olim or children of olim. I know of a couple Yentas.
Freidy I know one or two, Feigy I know four or five I think.
Feigy is a more common name than the others, probably because it is common among Breslov chasidim (Rebbe Nachman's mother's name is Feiga) and I guess that makes it less of a rarity and more acceptable even for non-Breslov.

I have a bunch of girls in elementary school - Bais Yaakov in Israel and not one has anyone with a Yiddish name in their class.
Our Chassidish neighbors have Yiddish names but not the Litvish.
