In Newport, you'll want to go to the Touro Synagogue, the Cliff walks, and a couple of the mansions. Block Island is a small island in which we rented bikes and rode around the entire island. There's not much to do there, as most people just go to restaurants at night. Unfortunately there aren't any kosher restaurants there. If you just want a quiet , peaceful few days there, then you'll like it.

LOVE Newport!
Also walk around the wharf area and check out all the cute shops. Glassblowing is fun, too- try the Thames glassblowing studio.
There is a kosher certified vegan place called Root but not everyone goes by their hechsher (Lighthouse K) so definitely check with your rabbi
Kilwins ice cream- not cholov yisroel
the BJs in Middletown has an OU certified bakery and some microwaveable meals

The mansions are fantastic, and so is the cliff walk.
There is a kosher 'restaurant'/cafe. It is vegan and hechsher given by the local Rabbi, who was approved by my Rav. Ask your own LOR.
There used to be a kosher B+B, but dont think its around anymore.

It’s beautiful! Been to Newport 2 times.
This time we paid and did the mansions tour. Our ticket included 2 mansions.
Note: it was not little kid friendly. I wish someone had told us that.
No strollers - so you need to hold your baby/toddler.
Toddlers roaming don’t agree with thin ropes used to fence off an area not allowed in - this was really challenging.
In providence Rhode Island for kids: childrens museum was fantastic, providence public line children a section was great, and mystic aquarium on the way from New York was fun. Enjoy the trip!

Was just there this summer and loved it.
Another cool thing to do is the topiary garden. It’s a garden with topiaries in the shape of animals.

Please note that Lighthouse K is not considered reliable by any mainstream kasshrus organization, including the CRC (chicago), Star K, OU, and the mainstream local agencies, like Rhode Island Kosher and KVH (boston).
Rabbi Dolinger is a very nice sincere person, I know him personally. However, hhis hashgacha relies on many, many leniencies that no Agency in a large city (NY, teaneck, Miami, etc...) would allow. For example, vegetables do not need to be checked amd hafrashas challah is not required. This can be an issue with any mezonos items you are eating. There are other issues , but those are the ones that come to mind right away.
I would love to have people come and visit our beautiful state, but it makes me very sad when I hear about frum people eating at Lighthouse K establishments.
