I just moved into a new house which doesn’t have an eat in kitchen, it only has an island which is meaty with stools on the on one side, im wondering what do people do, like for breakfast or milk meals, do you just put down placemats? Any recommendations for ones that won’t slide or big enough if the kids spill etc? Or is it better to use trays?
Looking for suggestions/ recommendations

Milk is cold, you'll wipe it. Milk won't make it trief.

Dainty Home Marble Place Mats, Washable Placemats in Silver, 12" x 18" Set of 6, Heat Resistant Placemats, Non Slip, Table Mat, Table Placemats, for Kitchen Placemats, Dining Placemats, Decoration https://a.co/d/ahF2OuD
I have these placemats. They are thick with cork on the back. They are large enough that nothing usually spills off of them and they don’t slip.
