Bh I won 10k in one of those tzedkaha things. 1k to maaser, the rest went straight to a large tax bill. Not sure how I would have paid the taxes without this unexpected 10k.
They also send you a 1099 or whatever it's called for winning so you owe taxes on the winning.

I won $800 at the casino. It was my birthday dh gave me $100 I bet on my age and it came out the second try.
