What’s the best way to get yum baked apples?

I’m after that softness with the good texture... trying to figure it out

I used to bake them in water but now I just wash them well and bake them until oblivion without water and they’re great and soft and mushy

The same here. No water, no cover, and with skin. I remove just the center, add some little spoon of sugar and cinnamon, nothing else. However, the best tip is to choose the right apples.

My mother used to cut a ring in the skin, around the centre of the apple (on the equator). When the top half lifted up, boiling and bubbly, it was done.

I sometimes fit them in half and on the open end sprinkle cinnamon and sugar and bake it face down. It’s yum!

So I’ll combine all these tips and hopefully get the perfect apple 🍎😁

Just left with the question of what number the heat is on?

Whatever number it’s on for the rest of shabbos good. Sometimes 250 and sometimes 450. I just check it more often when it’s higher. Although low and slow is prolly best
