I didn’t know it was the way lots of Israelis speak. And now that I know, I still find it annoying.

I can’t believe you can’t say that an accent sounds annoying to you without offending half the people on here.

I don't think you can compare the South and Israel in this case.
If a person living in israel would state that the Yemenites accent is irritating it would today be seen as you look down arrogantly on Yemenites and people from eidot hamizrach.
