Car Mavens: If I get this License Plate Bumper Guard, do I need something else that I see people have in the rear that looks like a sheet of rubber, to brotect bumpers?
My license plate always gets damaged, so I definitely need a license plate protector.
This looks like a good one.

What does one have to do with thi other? If you need the license plate bumper, get it..if you need the protection in the back, get it. But you don't need to get one because you bought the other.

1- My question is do I need both? If I get this "thick" plate guard, doesnt it prevent the car behind me from damaging my bumper somewhat, because it extends the distance between me and the car behind me, so I dont need the sheet of rubber? Or is the sheet of rubber a useful thing with another purpose?
2- I see reviews say "frequently returned item". Is there one that everyone uses and likes thats "Universal fit" fits on most cars?
