I bought a CITIZEN quartz watch in 2019 for about $100, and I used to need to change the battery every year or so.
For about the last year or two, the watch stopped telling time or became slow every 3-4 months, and then when I changed the battery it worked for another 3-4 months. I tried 3 different places in BP to change the battery and I got the same 3-4 months from a new battery, so its the watch that has the issue, not the battery theyre using.
Is a watch worth repairing, that inevitably will cost more than the watch costed?
Roughly what would I pay to repair this watch and where can I bring it in that does reasonable repairs, either in Brooklyn NY or Lakewood NJ (Im in both areas all the time)?
Is it perhaps smarter to just throw the watch out and buy a new one?
