I have a stereotype that I made up that im wondering if ppl agree w me. we have no way to prove it either way though. I feel like frum jews like necterines better than peaches. everyone I speak to says they like necterines better. but in the non jewish world I feel like everyone likes peaches better. I feel like ppl arent raising their kids to like peaches and the fuzzy texture grosses everyone out. idk just a random thought I made up but maybe ppl agree.

I have to admit I use them more or less interchangeably, and buy whichever is cheapest that week!

I don't particularly care much for either of them.
But for sure peaches taste better! My tounge finds the fuzzy skin fascinating. And peaches are usually less mushy than nectarines.

I like peaches because they don't stick to the pit ,thus cleaner to eat.

I love them both, but not soft - really hard and under-ripe. And I buy whichever look the best and are on sale.

I voted nectarines because when a peach is a drop overripe it gets mealy, and when a nectarine is overripe it gets mushy. So with a peach you don't know until you bite into it if it's good or not. With a nectarine what you see is what you get.

My kids prefer peaches but I prefer nectarines. The mushy fuzzy part of a peach is a real sensory turn off for me.

I like the taste of a good peach better however oftentimes the beaches just aren't good & I find nectarines to be more consistently good so I don't want to always take a chance.

Thanks for the smile! I like nectarines better or very unripe peaches. For me it's not about the fuzzy but about the firmness. But I buy both whatever on sale or looks good.

I love the white ones hard rock. So I buy whichever one I can find the way I like it. It's really either or.

You're right, it's a ridiculous stereotype. I happen to like both and choose whichever is a better buy at the time. But I do think many children dislike the fuzzy skin of a peach. They will eat a peach with gusto if it's peeled.

I love the fuzz!!! I voted peaches. But my family disagrees. They all like nectarines better.

Nectarines come in "freestone" type too. That means the fruit is not attached to the pit.
I prefer nectarines. I cannot bite into a fuzzy peach, but I do like them if they are cut up.

Nectarines! Soft and drippy! Peaches are fuzzy wuzzy and not as flavorful.
