My issue with peaches is that you have to leave them out to get ripe, but then you turn around & it's too late. Nectarines, it seems to me, have a better window of perfection.

Idk, to me nothing can match a good ripe delicious peach, I love the way the juice just drips when you take a good bite. Peaches all the way. My kids love them too, will devour them any chance they get.

Peaches come in cling as well as freestone. Stores here don't label them, they're almost always cling. A nuisance, but a minor one.
