Does anyone have a good pareve chocolate Babka recipe that doesn't have margarine in it? And even better if the dough can be made in a bread machine!

I just make yeast dough (challah dough), a bit sweet (more sugar), then I roll it out, cover it with oil, cacao powder, sugar and roll it. You can also mix cacao powder and sugar beforehand.
it's important that cacao is wet with oil, not dry..
And it's important to close the dough well, so that nothing spills out.

I use canola oil interchangabley with margarine in my babka and it always comes out amazing. I use a stand mixer.
Dough: mix 3.75 cups flour, 1 tbs instant yeast, 1/2 cup sugar. Then add 3 eggs and 1 cup water. Next, 3/4 tsp salt and 2/3 cups oil. Mix about ten minutes in stand mixer til combined.
Filling: 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 1/3 cup cocoa powder, 2/3 cup chocolate chips, 1/2 cup oil. Mix until you get a paste, refrigerate a few minutes.
Bake 25-30 min at 350

Thanks for sharing this recipe! Does the dough need to rise?
