Yes people definitely pay. You need to be emotionally strong and physically strong for this type of work.
Consider a mother-baby home like eishes chayil as another opportunity for overnight work
And kol hakovod for thinking creatively about money

Correct me if I'm wrong OP,
I don't think she means patient care, I think she means patient care.

Even in a residence or nursing home, families want someone at the bedside 24/7, so they hire individuals to just sit at the patients bedside for nights and weekends when family can't be there.

When I did it 15 years ago it was $100/night.

Yes, just to be there so that the patients don't seem neglected

I am OOT so the numbers may be different, but we are currently paying $25 an hour for someone to do this.

Yes of course there is a need! I paid someone to stay with my mom, literally just be her bell caller for $20/ hour. If it was a Jew, even better.

I stayed overnight in hospitals many times its really not that hard. You dont need any experience

I've done it many times, with family and volunteering. While you don't need experience, depending on the condition of the patient, you need to be ok with certain conditions and dealing with people who cant help themselves.
The nurses are there for a reason, but it is a hospital with people who cant "help themselves "
Also, depending on the condition, you will not get any "real" sleep.
