That's so funny, I always felt that corners are harder to cross at. Then they have to look FOUR ways to see whether any cars are coming, rather than two ways. And a lot of the time a driver will wave kids ahead (which the kids have to be aware of), without looking to see whether there are other cars at the intersection that might decide to go instead.

Well, we live on a one way street. To cross to the other side of the street, one needs to look if a car is turning in. At the crosswalk, the driver turning will see the child, as opposed to seeing someone coming from between the parked cars...that's my cheshbon
