Precisely. It needs to be the right fit approach for the right issues and personalities. Also, some couples are not candidates for marriage counseling. Because for certain dynamics, marriage counseling make things worse. Regardless of who the therapist is.

Very true.
Marriage counseling where they sit there bashing each other in front of the other can cause way more harm than anticipated.
Sometimes individual therapy is best.
Sometimes a coach or Rav is best

Well that too. I was referring to the type of dynamic where even if the session goes well, one party will suffer from it on the at home.

This was not true in my case. He saw the abuse and he was able to figure out exactly what was going on after only a few sessions. I had a very good experience with him and I highly recommend him.
