This is so sad. What happened to being able to have regular discussions without it needing a 'safe haven' or dedicated forums?

Why? Is it funny? Or is it an example of how it's dangerous to be funny?

I'm still laughing my way through life except when I trip on a stone and lose a tooth but I got myself unaddicted from imamother! I blocked loads of forums so the home page should be boring. I still check in but way less than before and that's a good thing!

How often do you trip on a stone?
(Just trying to keep track of how much you laugh)

In light of the matzav in Eretz Kodshenu, some of us are having a hard time being funny, because we're in pain, or sympathizing(empathizing? I never could keep those two straight) with those in more severe pain, or because we just don't feel it's appropriate at this time unless the humor is specifically designed to lift people's spirits and courage at this time.

Throughout the generations, Jews have gotten through painful times with (dark) humor. It’s one of our keys to survival.

I feel honored to have once been a part of the funny threads like the Niddah Poetry and Personalized relations Towels threads. There was no risk of snark with those. Literally every comment on those threads were pure gold.

As long as you're unaddicted.
I'm too tired to be funny. Maybe when I'll stop teething

You're teething? Poor thing! Tell your mommy to rub some alcohol on your gums. Orajel for infants helps too.

Not just through the generations but right here in my own life I’ve survived some pretty bad stuff with my dark humor. Let’s just say a lot of women here don’t get it. I stopped sharing.
