Making a simcha soon BH, and need to disolve large amounts of hard dark chocolate
Can it be done in a crockpot or will it get burnt ?
What advise can anyone give me pls

Boil a pot of water, place a mixing bowl over top of pot and melt chocolate inside bowl. Constantly stir so chocolate does not burn

I would use a bain marie, water bubbling underneath and the chocolate set in a pot in it. This way, it won't burn, but you have to stir so that everything melts.
If you have large quantities, it helps to grate the chocolate first or to cut it to tiny pieces.

You can do it in a small pot on a very low flame. Watch it carefully. I do it this way all the time and it's perfect
