Only mt grandfather's side was researched - but I am a direct descent of the Shlah (through the Dym family who changed their from from Horowitz), Rav Menachem Mendel of Riminov, and the Panim Meiros (R Meir Eisenshdat). My family all assimiliated for a couple of generations, my mother was the only one since my great great grandparents who became frum, and she didn't marry chassidish so that got lost. I soemtimes feel a strong inner feeling of being chassidish, but my husband is NOT the type, haha.
