Interesting observation- Almost all (yes I noticed R' SRH and a few others) names here are Chassidish. I wonder if this a chassidish thing to be into this and knowledgeable who you're descended from? Is it that non chassidim don't care as much? or don't have well known ancestors? Who knows...

I already found my first cousin on here through an anonymous post she posted with identifying details. We don't know each others usernames though.
In case there are other cousins on here, who else is a descendent of der Zeide Reb Yoshe Mendlowitz and his (second wife) der Bobbe Yidis?

I thin you have a point there. I’m litvish but descended from chassidim on my mothers mothers side and we have a big book in my parents house of the yichus starting from the meohr einayim until my great grandfather. I don’t really know anything further than 3 generations back on any other side of the family
