I need to take a parenting course. I need help. Wondering if anyone took either of them, how would you describe it and what's the difference between them. Can't decide with which one to go for.

R’taub is a rabbi with a ton of learning and hands on experience under his belt.
Blimi heller is a very nice lady who teaches what she feels in heart and how she experiences parenting (two girls).

I’d take R Taub first.
He has a tremendous amount of understanding the neshama and our purpose in this world and how to prioritize what.

I follow R’ Taub pretty religiously and I really look up to him — but I hate to break it to you, he’s also teaching what he “feels in his heart.” Blimi Heller has a ton of experience the same way the rabbi does.
I happen to think I’d also take his course but not because he’s not “a nice lady” — it’s because I like his advice overall so I already know it’s aligned with me and my views. |
The fact is a rabbi by definition deals with a lot more than a regular lady who just happens to preach about parenting. And she really is nice.

Every single thing r taub says in his course has a mekor from the torah.

Blimie Hellers course is short and to the point. Teaches you a new way to connect and communicate. It changed my life BH. I for sure wasn't up for something complicated and couldn't believe the impact her short course had on my relationship with my kids BH.

They're probably both fantastic. Why put down one to lift up another ?
I personally only know about blimie bec I follow her status and what she says really resonates. I'm sure Rabbi Taub is amazing also !

Correct I think they have different purposes.

Try to find whose philosophy you agree with.
How does r Taub sat to handle defiance?
How does blimi heller say to handle defiance?
Pick the method you agree with.

I love blimie hellers stuff, I have been following her on Instagram for a few years now. I do think though that Rabbi Taubs course is a more worthwhile investment if you have to choose one. I took it and it gives a clear approach and perspective for parenting with authentic Torah values. I think that after having that foundation then you can take other courses and look at them through the lense that he gives. A lot of parenting advice nowadays isn't aligned with Torah and having a clear perspective helps a lot.
