It's a great way to ensure you go into pesach rested. Everything needs to be finished a day early, and then you have shabbat to rest and learn the hagaddah.

Wait till you've been in Israel a few more years!
Does it make the hotel Pesach programmes more expensive because the have to provide for an extra Shabbos at the beginning?

I have a Jewish calendar. Jewish calendars don’t say when to do certain mitzvos and the local times..

Taanis Esther is supposed to be on 13 Adar, which is Shabbos. We can't fast on Shabbos so we fast earlier, on Thursday.
But everything else is the same as usual. |
I guess the weird part is not waiting until Megillah to break the fast.
