I was just briefly hospitalized for acute pain and scans indicated inflammation in colon. Now I’m home taking two strong antibiotics every 12 hours. I have a very dry mouth, terrible breath, diarrhea/constipation(in cycles), fatigue. Does anyone know a GREAT gastro doctor in NY that I can follow up with? Does antibiotics make any sense in this situation? Is there such a thing as a one time colitis episode? Can one have Crohns and colitis? I have more than one close family relative with Crohns (none dealing with antibiotics) but no relatives with colitis. I did have a bacterial infection show up in my urine so maybe antibiotics was exclusively for that…,if anyone has a good gastro they can recommend I would appreciate it Ty!
