Hello
My child has been dx 6 months ago. I am not even sure if she was dx correctly. She is on biological monthly. The hospital has failed to check her biologics medication drug level Iin Blood 2x in a row. I have been communicating with dr back and forth today about this negligence because I reminded nurses and assistant at hospitals to make sure the levels will be tested because how the infusion is given and when depends greatly on that testing. The doctor obviously unapologetically tried making excuses and at end of day said that maybe I should look for different provider and hospital who will take better care of my child. My child will be considered legal adult soon
Please help me understand this situation and if I want to change providers and hospital infusion center then how is it done. Plea see recommend a good compassionate doctor who is holistically minded In Brooklyn area. Thankyou.

Dr Philip kazlow at Columbia is great and a real mentch.

Don’t know if you and your child are interested in dietary changes as well, but this diet has been a life saver for me and my child. https://www.amazon.com/Breakin.....r=8-1

Note: Dr kazlow did not recommend dietary changes, but has been supportive. We already implemented this before seeing him and saw some improvement. We have since tweaked the diet to suit my child, and the child in question is bh really healthy. Dr kazlow was helpful in figuring out a dairy issue and has been available to discuss other options/test as we felt necessary.

Which GI are you currently seeing?

Kazlow is good but he's not an IBD specialist. Call one of the frum referral organisation's for a recommendation. They'll be able to tailor a referral to your circumstances.
