Looking for a brisket recipe for a diabetic

Hosting someone in my family who is diabetic and was planning to make brisket.
All my brisket recipes have some form of sugar or sweetener, he is not allowed any kind at all.
Anyone have a tried and true recipe without any sugar, sweetener or products that have either?

How brittle a diabetic?
I’m a diabetic educator and my philosophy is limit added sugar/simple carbohydrates as much as possible, but moderation and balance meals are really the key. A teaspoon of sugar as part of a meal shouldn’t have a significant impact, especially if the other carbs are limited. (You may want to look into the overall concept of carb counting). Additionally, ask the person what they normally do and use that as your guide.

Onions sliced. Plop brisket on top. Salt and pepper loads of garlic cloves. Bay leaves if you use***
If you can use root veggies: cut up carrots sweet potato parsnip beet onion plop brisket on top and continue as above
Bake low and slow in a tightly covered pan

Dry red wine, tomato paste, fresh garlic and onion, salt and pepper. You can also add dried minced onion or onion soup mix, and/or rosemary if you like that. Add some water if you need more liquid.

Just season generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and coat with a generous amount of oil. Cover and bake as you would any brisket. Delicious.

If you can get sugar free Ketchup

3 onions cut to 1/2 inch slices
3 garlic cloves crushed
1/2 cup ketchup
3/4 tbs salt
3/4 tsp black pepper
1 cup of water

put a drop of oil at the bottom of the pan, cover the pan with most onions and the water, place meat with the rest of onions on top. Mix the ketchup, garlic, salt & pepper and cover the meat with it.
Cover well and bake at 180/350 for 2-3 hrs cool slice and cook again for 30 mins-hr (or longer)

I didn't ask for the specifics of his disease, I asked him how he needs to eat and he gave me this guideline.

This is for chicken. Can I use it for brisket?

Recipe says it can be used for chicken, roast, or brisket. Ice only used it for chicken so far and it was good. I imagine it would be good on meat too.

I do this plus a generous pour of red wine, it's absolutely delicious!
