I've just about had it. Many of us unfortunately have lost family members and grieve in different ways. Eli's way of grief is way above normal limits. Nobody goes up and down with feeling the way he does. He needs serious therapy. Esti has my sympathies; I am not saying she is completely innocent, but she is definitely being a korban here. I am thrilled with Yossi's words about his cuckoo wife. Dina and Eli should get a family therapy plan with the mother thrown in for free.

I think Esti is completely and truly innocent.
Tell me one wrong thing she did in this story?

For those asking why the mother sticks up for dina; it doesn't have to be because of some deep dark secret. I have a sibling who is also acting crazy since a parent passed and the surviving parent is supporting them. I wasn't allowed to come for yt and they called me to bes din all while my parent is on their side. It's awful to lose a parent to death plus the other parent to a mentally unstable sibling in one year.

I have it in my family, but sorry, they are all same boat, and all the money won't replace anything.

I think now Eli will realize how he treats his wife.
Eli and Dina aren't very different in the way they treat their spouse. He'll start seeing it through the eyes of someone else and hopefully change.

I always wonder if the idea in "marriages" like the pseudo-marriage of Eli & Esti, in which he literally ignores her and gaslights her and takes advantage of her--- are they celibate all this time? Is she actually spending intimate time with this guy who spends zero times with her? I know, they're fictional characters lol!

There are a bunch of threads/amothers on here talking about how they have really difficult marriages that they are managing except for the relations part. There's a mix of advice, ranging from needing to take care of yourself and not be a shmatte to still giving relations because it can somehow apparently hold a marriage together.
I think that in this story, we got very little of what their marriage was like before all of the craziness, and barely remember it. This past week's installment has confirmed that Eli's work schedule may have been owing to problem dynamics already.

At times, he softened at her. All it takes is a moment they are feeling mushy. People have needs after all....maybe not characters lol
I believe many complaining here still go on to dtd at times. Nature.

That would be some good character development, what seems to be happening is Esti discovered the 5 stages of grief and all will all be explained away with that

I wonder if I'm the only one who thinks this has nothing to do with grief? Eli has a horrible personality not unlike his sisters.

He certainly doesn't sound pleasant but I think it will be written as grief being the main reason. Although Hadassah did hint to Esti that this kind of thing doesn't happen in a vacuum.
He'll probably agree to grief therapy and perhaps they'll get some marriage therapy after that.

I’m trying not to get too connected to this story. I remember the same author wrote pathways (not sure I remember the name correctly, 1before roadblocks) and created more and more drama every week then she dropped us in the middle of the story. So It might end that he started to
Go to therapy the end or something like it.

Endings are often like that - everything fixed in one paragraph.

Same thing happened in the summer one with the narc friend.
The main character decided she needed to drop the friend, the end.
Would have been interesting to see how that would play out
