Heavy on the real food, light on the sweets, only the famously excellent sweets from the right stores.

Cured fish.

I second real food for the ladies as well.

And don’t waist money on desserts that just look nice but taste like plastic.

Everything!! I love food! I am too shy to eat in front of others, but if I wasn't I would take Kugel, chulent, cakes, drinks, herring.

Those mini tarts with the custard or lemon bottom and fruit on top. Also yodels.

Realistically, while I love real food, at a kiddush I only eat what I can grab with one hand and eat without utensils or often even a plate. I am usually holding onto someone or serving someone, so I don't eat anything that requires two hands, which includes one to hold the plate and the other for the fork or spoon.

If you do miniature trifles or mousse in cups (personal favorite of my tribe), do nice disposable, not glass!

So this thread has covered the fashionable options. Don't forget that you need to eat mezonot at a kiddush, be it in the form of crackers, cakes, cookies or Yerushalmi kugel.

Meat boards! I hate that they only give that to the men. Give me a good meat board any day of the week 🙏🏻
Oh and some good wine. Not the 5% moscato soda.

I'll be boring. I love salads!
I hate cream anything so the miniatures don't appeal to me but good old fashioned kokosh cake, rugalach, lemon bars, zebra cookies are my favorites.

Yes! I love lemon bars.

In the mezonos camp, I'm a fan of lace cookies. And yes, there needs to be cookies you can eat for mezonos.
