I am wondering if the original Spice & Spirit cookbook (yellow?) is different from the purple one? (Does it have any different recipes? Were recipes modified?)

I am wondering the same about the original Spice & Spirit Passoer cookbook (also yellow?) How is it different from the current version (also purple)?

I am asking because everyone once in a while folks reference the "original" version, but I had always thought they were basically the same book but with a newer cover.

the original ones were much smaller. the newer ones are updated and much nicer and more complete.

I noticed that copies of both editions- original yellow and newer purple edition- are currently listed on ebay at very reasonable prices.

I just want to add that I have been married for many decades and am a great cook. Spice and spirit purple is still my bible when I make once a year things- kreplach, latkes or for a no fail easy roast or dessert. I have all the kosher palates etc and still love my original spice and spirit
