I don't find stories like these inspiring when they're told by frum people. There's no way not to make the stories sound as if it's ok that "the people on the other side" were killed because they're not religious. Of course that's not what the teller means, but that's how it comes off. And what about the Shomer Shabbos people who were injured, killed or taken hostage? Are we to believe that they were in some way less deserving than those who were unharmed?

These stories are very nice and some people might find them inspiring but please be sensitive to the fact that a lot of people died and suffered that day. Reading things like this can cause some people a lot of pain. If you’re inspiring one person but it comes at the expense of making someone else cry it might not be worthwhile.
