Looking for practical useful gifts that don't take up a lot of space. Example magazine subscription or camera ....

Really depends a lot on the personality of the individual person that you want to give the present to.
Age is not a personality trait.

One year membership at a cool museum they’d like.
If that’s too expensive, then tickets to a nice place for the family.
Someone once treated my family to one of those indoor zip line places. My kids had a blast. And I have no extra stuff in the house.

You can get the Jewish book box or bake box or craft box. You can set them up to come every month or every second month for as many months as you like. I think it’s $40 a month

Girls like Lego also. Why do you have to gender a toy?

I don't have kids old enough to use real lego, but when we were kids, my brother was way more into it then we were, except for Harry Potter sets. Just personal experience of course.

And at 37, I still love Lego... Also personal experience. But still there's no reason to gender separate toys.
I bought a baking set for a 4 year old boy, bc his mom told me he loves to bake. It came with an apron and a chef's hat and all sorts of measuring cups.
This is my pet peeve about gifts. They shouldn't be based on anything other than what the person getting there gift might enjoy.
That's why in my first post I said that ages aren't a personality type.

I never said boys don't like Lego... Just that girls can like Lego too and they shouldn't be excluded bc people have some antiquated notion that toys have genders.

I’m saying mostly boys like it when giving a gift to a girl please don’t give legos unless it’s a girly set.

And if the girl loves dinosaurs, or Indiana Jones, or transformers will you still give her a Disney princess set?
My point, is to give a gift that the person getting it will love. Don't just get bc he's a bit and she's a girl. Ppl are more complex than that.
