I laugh at how big glasses are in now. I remember when slim small glasses were in and I would look at pictures of myself when big glasses were in and think how old fashioned it looked. And now it's back in style and small glasses are odd Compress

- Bowl sinks - So impractical; How do you clean the counter? Never understood the appeal of this trend when a nice counter with a smooth seamless integrated sink is technologically possible.

- Counter seating in the kitchen instead of a normal table. Who would want this? If I am in a cafe, I never choose to perch on a high stool if a comfy normal-height chair is available. This is only suitable if you are by yourself and slurping down a quick coffee and don't want to interact with others. Totally weird for a family setting. My home is not an Edward Hopper painting.

- Shabby chic - peeling paint, battered wood. Ugh. I guess it matches ripped jeans and frayed hems.

Responding to the OP. I had a friend growing up that had an all mirror bathroom and it was so disturbing. It was like being in a fun house which trying to just go to the bathroom. I avoided using the bathroom at her house.

I had no idea it was actually a trend, I just thought someone really weird lived there before lol.
