Kids today think it's the coolest thing! Buy some and they can spend hours tracing pictures to paint.
Same thing with white out that has a brush - they think it's a new invention:-)

The rotary phones if you made a mistake, you had to start all over again.

My mother still had a working rotary phone till very recently. She also still has a record player stacked away somewhere.

Omg this thread is so nostalgic!

I remember when white sandals were in and you were the luckiest girl if you got a pair!

Feathered haircuts were the coolest thing!
You had to straighten your hair every day and get it done by a non jewish hairdresser!

I remember michal negrin, the rice necklace those were so cool! hi beary, KEDS!!! Banana clips.. the biggest pouf when you wore a hairband, we uses to copy our teachers!

I remember the corded phones!
I remember being the last one in my class to get a cordless.
Id come home and my mon would be on the phone in another room with the wire stretched taut across the whole kitchen.
The phone used to tilt on its base!!

My parents bathroom still has carpet to match the bath. Burnt orange carpet and peach bath.
Flowers to match.

Their toilet is green and matches the floor and wall paper.
And my mom always bought matching toilet paper.

Omg carbon paper! Wow brings back memories, it was part of school supplies list. I remember my teacher teaching us how to use it, I thought it was the coolest thing!

The platform shoes. Friends mom called them suicide shoes. You could commit suicide by jumping off them.

I actually like the poof/bangs hairstyles! Can't wait until 30 years from now when we look back at the severe middle parts that are in style now. Hate that style already...

Long skirts that swept the floor. In those days there were not too many Jewish brands, so we bought the ones from regular stores with a slit. Then we'd sew it up and could barely walk.

I remember lots of big floral prints in girls bedrooms- very trendy to have the exact same print for the bedspreads and the window treatments- like have them made special from the material you chose. (Do people still do this?)

Also
Paul frank
Baby g watches
Boondoggle/lanyard
Friendship bracelets from string- the really cool girls had like 10 safety pinned to their skirt at once.
Sticker and stationary collections in albums with the sticky pages and plastic on top.
Pogs- loved those! Still have some of mine!

Cheap $2 headbands lined with little square mirrors. We preteens wore them, as well as our single teachers. We used to see the reflections flashing on the ceiling of our classroom.

Or you'd sew a bandana in the (denim skirt Surprised )slit so you could walk
