I’m not satmar, have nothing with satmar and don’t even know this principal that was niftar. All I know is that I read a thread about her and how sad people were that she died and I’m feeling bad what a loss it is to all who knew her. Then I come here and read pure lashon hara about a person whose family is still sitting shiva for her! You have something against her? Keep it to yourself! Definitely don’t go posting it on the internet for all to see.

You may be theoretically correct, but thats only because you weren't her student in the earlier years. I hear that she did soften up quite a bit later on. My age Era I'm sorry for what I'm saying but we were utterly ultra petrified of her. It's part of the "memories". Good or bad.

2 of my friends worked under her and had a miserable experience.

but Mrs Feldman was human and treated the students with respect. She was a nice person. Even though she had a strict authority.

Yes! Was so interesting to learn a whole different side of her. I’d never picture her creative in the kitchen! She belongs in her school office!

I never knew that side was able to exist.
When they mentioned she called the girls “young lady” to make them feel special when she didn’t remember their name?
To me when we heard her say that- our feet started quivering! Like what did we do wrong now!!
Even my brother told me he couldn’t believe they were writing about the same person.

Can we not continue this conservation? There really is no point. If you were so traumatized by her then get help, this is not going to accomplish anything.

That’s irrelevant. Stop the lashon hara fest, it’s almost rosh hashana!

I think having other people with whom to commiserate is helpful.

I too found it fascinating. I knew she kept an immaculate home but I never imagined her as an involved Bobby.

So I went back to check. You don't belong on this thread. It was our principal and we have our right to discuss memories. Whether it's negative or positive.

Thank you for saying this! I feel like this is sort of a trauma we went through (if you indeed suffered)

Yes, we're actually classmates!
This is the completely wrong time and place for commiserating.

I wonder how many of you actually thought of her until this thread/she passed away, or had lasting effects from the 'trauma' you experienced. If you're truly affected then the 'support' you're getting here is not going to help you at all.

It's not right to talk about people that already passed on, and there's no way you can justify this as toeles.

It’s normal for her passing and articles about her to trigger those memories.
I can tell you that there were authority figures who really made me and many other people suffer. One in particular I hope they die so they stop torturing people. I’m sure there will be an article about them. I said what I said.
