You may be theoretically correct, but thats only because you weren't her student in the earlier years. I hear that she did soften up quite a bit later on. My age Era I'm sorry for what I'm saying but we were utterly ultra petrified of her. It's part of the "memories". Good or bad.

I never knew that side was able to exist.
When they mentioned she called the girls “young lady” to make them feel special when she didn’t remember their name?
To me when we heard her say that- our feet started quivering! Like what did we do wrong now!!
Even my brother told me he couldn’t believe they were writing about the same person.

Can we not continue this conservation? There really is no point. If you were so traumatized by her then get help, this is not going to accomplish anything.

I too found it fascinating. I knew she kept an immaculate home but I never imagined her as an involved Bobby.

This is the completely wrong time and place for commiserating.

I wonder how many of you actually thought of her until this thread/she passed away, or had lasting effects from the 'trauma' you experienced. If you're truly affected then the 'support' you're getting here is not going to help you at all.

It's not right to talk about people that already passed on, and there's no way you can justify this as toeles.
