I’m a certified reading specialist looking tutor online as I have a physical disability that makes it hard for me to travel to student’s houses or schools. I wanted to find out if it’s possible to find frum students to tutor online. If so, how do I go about doing that? I’m open to tutoring non jews but I prefer to tutor frum children if possible.

I do setss through zoom for frum high school girls. There is such a demand that people are often willing to have tutors that way. Especially if through board of ed lol.
Alternatively, if it's hard for you to go to them, you can have them come to you. Hatzlocha !

Wow! Dark blue how do you go about doing that? Do you go through an agency? I’ve asked agencies before if they have online cases and they didn’t have any. I’m also a setts provider. Do you still do setts on zoom now?
I did after school tutoring this past year. Most families wanted me to come to them. I had one family where I alternated between my house and their house.

maybe it's because I do regents subjects. people need an earth science p3, not so easy to find... so they're willing to take someone through zoom. most of my cases were not through an agency. I do enhanced. also, I work @ a school, so they know I am available. I tell the parents I can do sundays in person or during the week on zoom. (one benefit of the pandemic was the zoom option! I can't go back to traveling in the evenings to people's homes. )

I see. yes I agree that one good benefit from Covid is being able to tutor on zoom. I traveled to people’s homes this past year after school in the dark. I hated it. While everyone was coming home from work and school, I went out in the dark and cold to tutor. This is why I want to tutor in my house or on zoom. Many of these families with young kids want a p3 provider every night as they use them for homework help since they are too busy to do homework with their children which I think is wrong. This is why they have no time to come to the tutor’s home.
I want to know if you think frum kids from out of town who don’t have so much access to special Ed would be interested in online tutoring? Do you think there is a demand for it?

Are you a hs teacher as well? I used to work in a local girls school as a teacher’s assistant and then as a library assistant but I had to quit because of my disability, so people know me but I still have a hard time finding students to tutor.

yes, I teach in a high school. so other teachers know I tutor/do p3 so I got a couple of students that way last year (like 3). I don't see them each daily. since it's regents subjects (not homework help like younger kids!), I usually work with them 1 to 2 times a week.
