I think I did the math once, and similac was cheaper than materna extra care based on the amount of grams per box and the amount of grams per spoon.

That said, it depends what type my baby tolerates, and they seem to be sensitive regular materna.

Costco is cheapest. Walmart and target are the same price for generic. I would try those first.

You seem to be looking for CY only which is going to be more expensive than the regular ones. Interestingly the psak we got was that if there's a significant cost savings we could use cholov Stam, and when we did the math the generics were literally half the price of the CY formula. Then it turned out neither of my kids could tolerate regular formula so there was no question anymore.

My first was on target gentle. Second was/is on target soy till I could no longer get it, and now we just get whatever soy we can.

I was told by doctors to not use soy, for my milk allergy kids doctors said milk allergies and soy allergies go hand in hand. And I was told to avoid soy because of hormones.
My sister on wic was told by her rebbe to use milk and not soy.

Just want to clarify the allergy thing - 50% of kids with a milk allergy have a soy allergy, which means 50% don't. When we discovered my daughters allergy we tried soy since it was during the formula shortage and it was very hard to find hypoallergenic, and bH it was good for her. When we started allergy testing she had minor allergy to soy on the blood test and the allergist said the fact we've been feeding it to her probably kept her from developing a full blown allergy.
