Kindergarten, where does it belong?

I work in a school which starts at daycare through 8th grade. Kindergarten is always left hanging, where should they go? any ideas? what does your school do? meaning like for programs etc.

Theres preschool-nursery, kindergarten, and pre 1a.

There's preschool which encompasses: pre nursery, nursery ( playschool), pre-k and kindergarten

so who should kindergarten go with...1st grade or nursery?

I think that they should stay with the rest of the pre-school, not elementary.

it depends what you call kindergarten some places like the school I work in has
pre nursery 2 1/2-3
nursery 3 1/2-4
kindergarten 4 1/2-5
then goes pre 1a annd grade one
then goes the elementry

or there are schools that the pre nursery age is still considdered the baby class then comes the pre nursery which is 3 1/2-4 then nursery 4 1/2-5 then kindergarten is instead of pre 1a
so they eigther go with grade 1 like by us or they have their own program or they fall out like you say!
