Hi,
We did the Segula of putting a note on the Menorah last year, and I am publicizing the fact that our tefilos were answered in the most miraculous way , 7 months after Chanukah.
Iy”h will do the same segula this year
Thank you HaShem !

I did this segula last year.
I had a LONG wish list.
I asked for 3 of my good friends to get engaged - no one did.
I asked for abundant parnassah for my sister - didn't happen yet.
I asked to lose weight - I gained.
I felt depressed last night as I read my note from last year.

Poster above, please don't give up hope. Remember that Moshe davened the amount of tefillos as "Vaeschanan" in gematriah, and had he davened one more would have broken through to his desired yeshuah. Also Leah davened so many tefillos that her eyelashes fell out before her zivug was switched to Yaakov. Keep davening!
I want to post that I had a long list for which I saw yeshuos, many completely not in the way I expected or davened, but yeshuos beyond my imagination. I davened from a list on Zos Chanukah and taped it to the menorah, and just removed it from the menorah before we lit tonight. I am so grateful to Hashem.

I'm so sorry amother Bronze. That can be so depressing, to remember asking and then realize the pain is still there and your requests weren't granted. I remember having that feeling walking to my seat on Rosh Hashana and remembering the year before, the year before that and a lot more Rosh hashanas. I asked and didn't get what I asked for. We have to try to stay strong and keep davening. It's not easy. For you and me and others like us it could be a lot better to stay away from segula stories, but we have to try to stay strong and keep davening. It's not easy.

I think you’re only supposed to ask for one specific thing.. and keep davening for it

Well ladies, what do you all want to tell me...I asked for one thing. One thing only. For a shidduch for my DD. And here we are a year later, and I got no such yeshua.
So what does that mean then?
I didn't write neatly enough?
I didn't daven hard enough?
I didn't cry loud enough?
I'm beginning to think that this isn't a yeshua, rather, it happened anyway, so make yourself feel better and call it what you want.
Either way, I'm beginning to think that these things are phoney baloney.
They prey on the desperate, weak, and vulnerable, and make those of us who didn't get an answer feel like total idiots, rejects, and not good enough.

My DS just untied my Tefillah to HaShem from last year, that I tied to the menorah.
I guess HaShem answered “No” to our tefillos.

Snow, don't give up. Daven again this Chanukah. Who knows the number of tefillos needed to break through? I will daven for your daughter. Her yeshua will come.

Don't lose your emunah. I had the same exact experience and to my dismay DD is not engaged yet. I poured my heart out to Hashem about this throughout the year too. I'm thinking I guess her zivug just wasn't yet available this year and 1 day hopefully soon when she's engaged to a fine man, I'll clearly see and understand why she didn't get engaged this past year.
We asked Hashem and we need to now wait for the yeshuah (just like dd2 asks me for a drink and then expects I will give it to her). Chanukah is not a deadline.. in fact our miracle can happen any minute. Yeshuas Hashem K'heref Ayin.

Please DON'T do this. There are enough people hurting from these segula stories that I think we can all learn one thing. This isn't Harry Potter. We don't make it work by following instructions.
Only one request. Keep asking twice a day. Do it while crouching with your left leg tucked behind your right and your nose in the air.
What you're doing is a great way to guilt someone into thinking they could have gotten their wish if only they didn't mess up.

That is so sad but shows such real, true emunah.
Thank you for that amother Chocolate.
I'll take it as a Chanuka gift I really needed this year.

This happened to me. I was a much older single. By the time I hit 30 I began to despair. It was only a few years later that I finally got engaged. I got engaged to a man who was married to someone else when I was davening my heart out. I had to wait for him to end an unhappy marriage. I have no idea why he had to go through that and why I had to wait so long to get married… it was hard, lonely, painful… but here I am now married for a significant amount of time with a few children BH. No, I can’t say that there was one specific segula that made things happen. Believe me, I tried just about every segula I heard of… when one didn’t work I tried another. Why does it seem to work for some and not for others? I really don’t know… it’s something we probably can’t understand in this world. But I never stopped davening… and davening… don’t give up.. keep on asking Hashem. May all our tefillos be answered l’tova this year.

I'm sorry that must be really painful. These segulas are very hyped up and this is why I don't do them. I don't want to the disappointment. I don't want it to effect my emunah if things don't happen.
Personally I go about the 'normal' route when I a specific yeshua. I'll take on a mitzvah, daven as part of my normal davening, say some tehillim, daven when doing hafrashas challa and mikveh.

Hi. I asked for a complete recovery for myself and although my recovery is not complete I have found a very special guide to help me and I have so much more life and freedom and I'm very grateful.
One thing I've also done this year besides for this segulah was at one point I thanked Hashem for the illness, I thanked him for all the things I could do that others with this illness can not and I also thanked him for the refuah.
My preschooler asked for her tics to go away and for the most part they really did!
May we all see the miracles that we need in our lives everyday and the miracles that are already happening.

One thing I always say about these things that may provide comfort is that there is no way of knowing that this is for sure what helped bring the yeshuah. Perhaps, Hashem would have performed those miracles at those times even if the person didn't write the note and tie it to the menorah leg. There's no real way to prove these things.
