I usually make a red cabbage salad and cucumber salad that are vinegar based. What else can can I make for rosh hashana that’s sweeter?

Cole slaw mix
Red onion
Orange slices
Bit of oil
Sugar or artificial sweetener
Toss & serve. I usually add slivered almonds right before serving but will omit that now.

Use lemon for the cucumber salad.

Very often you can replace the vinegar with lemon juice
I always make my cucumber salad with lemon juice but I’ll be using it in a few other salads too

For those that use lemon in place of vinegar, it’s sour just the same. I don’t see how it would change anything.
BTW, every mayo has vinegar in it.
I learned is the sour taste is not overpowering and is used to enhance the taste of food it’s ok.
