Hi everyone. I'm looking for ideas for a hot dish to serve on shabbos.
It can't have potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, sugar, refined grain, processed food, or additives.
The restricted individual dislikes beans, lentils and split peas.
Chicken and turkey are great. Beef is allowed but the individual prefers only ground beef.
Chicken or turkey on the bone with veggies and barley are a hit during the week. Could that be left overnight? What about taco meat with veggies?
Also any ideas for a potato kugel substitue - without potatoes? It is greatly missed!

I do meat, eggplant, mushrooms, zukini, garlic onion, tomato and any other veggie I have or feel like throwing in. and spices. It's more souplike, but still yummy.

Barley (you'll need like 5x the water) seasoning and meatballs dropped in. Or short grain brown rice which is satisfyingly sticky.

Thank you everyone!
Would turkey drumsticks work?
Also, how do I keep the brown rice from turning into a mush?

Turkey drumstix work great in a crock pot... barley is a better option than rice for shbs . I find that rice turns to mush after that many hours.

Regular brown rice doesn't come out good, the grains kind of burst and it becomes mushy. Short grain stays intact but is creamy sticky. Just put in enough water.

You can do a veggie soup with ground chicken "matzah" balls. It's delicious. Or cream of chicken soup.
