Does it make sense for people coming back from Israel to bring an extra can if they have room? There's no shortage here.

1 major reason I found nursing my kids easier is that I live oot and would prefer not to give my babies chalav stam. And getting formula shipped/sent from another country is a pain.

So yes, I am sure some new mother will find it much easier to nurse fully rather than spending their time going from grocery to grocery to source formula. More difficult if you have already been giving formula for a while.

For those worrying about getting pregnant - you have nine months to plan! And this shortage will probably be over by then.

Interesting that you had no problem with OP and others talking about 'people' nursing, but saying pregnant people is suddenly a criminal offence.

Not everyone has an agenda, you know...

Not everyone can fully nurse.

It's none of your business why others choose not to nurse. Everyone is equally entitled to formula.

No, every INFANT is entitled to NUTRITION.

This entitlement thing is the core of why there is a shortage.

The shortage has zero to do with entitlement. Every infant deserves formula equally, regardless of why mom chooses not to nurse.

Infants deserve nutrition.
This judgmental attitude here is nauseating. Especially coming from mom to mom.

Infants deserve to be fed, in whatever way works best for them and the person taking care of them. Every infant deserves equal access to formula, whether they end up using it or not.

I had two kids that refused to take breast milk, when I say refused I really mean it, They would not latch on no matter what I did.

I can’t nurse. And my 4 month old needs nutrition. Please take this attitude elsewhere.

Not sure if this was brought up, but before infant formula, for centuries women who died while birthing or had abandoned their baby, people would feed those babies goats milk. Nowadays, goat's milk is still an option. You would just supplement with baby vitamins/minerals everyday. You can also buy powdered goats milk. Just make sure to give your baby a vitamin/mineral supplement. Some babies are allergic, but those who are not, and if you cannot find formula, this is a good alternative.
