We have mikvah night on Shabbas. It is our first time since our baby was born so want to be a ittle extra special. Normally we would have gone out but now we can make a date night at home. Does anyone have any ideas for a nice menu that wont take too long to make or eat? We also are vegetarian. Was thinking a nice fillet of salmon, vegetable skewers...

How about some warm roasted garlic to to go with the Challa? Put on indirect heat.
Perhaps change up the soup. A new kind of kugel like blueberry, strawberry rhubarb crumble.
Kosher.com have great recipes.
Also, on cozy nights I like to make a apple cider, fruity or herbal tea to enjoy together with dessert or later at night.

When mikvah night is Friday night we don't have much interest in fancy foods. We have a quick one course meal, go have ourselves a good time and then enjoy some tea and dessert afterwards.
That was before kids. Some parts have changed a bit since then.
