My purchases went as far as giving my husband the Simpson's Jewelry Brochure that arrived in the mail. You think he got the message?

The only reason why I don't buy new, bigger clothing is because I don't want to feel better and not diet.
as for the thread, no I don't have my present yet because anniversary was on the 10th and I suppose dh didn't want to give everything together.

I need a robe desperately, but I R-E-F-U-S-E to pay $100 for lounge clothes, however beautiful/shabbosdik they may be.
I bought a robe online for $50 (Which was still a crazy price). I wear size Medium/Large. This was a Medium described as "roomy, perfect for large or pregnant women." You'd think it was all good, right? I tried to put it on when I received it and even the sleeves were too narrow for my arms! It was so tailored and fitted.
Now I'm disappointed not to have a robe. B"H they said they'll take it back, but yes, I really need that hassle now.
Tights... I got a stack of the $1.99 tights from the hosiery store on 13th and 49th. Nothing like new tights. The cheapest treat for myself. I tried other, more expensive brands, and they were so much worse than these!
Other clothes... nah. I think I'll do with what I have. Same for the kids.
Although DH got a whole new wardrobe. Goodness, there went our life savings.

Yes. But probably most of them skip this thread entirely and won't answer you.

I see robes for $450 and they're nothing special.

Tehilla -- here's hoping that he quickly finds a new job that he enjoys even more than the last, and that pays even more money.
Me, I'm shopping in my own closet this Pesach. I've lost about 50 pounds reason (I'd prefer anonymity for that reason), so I can fit into a lot of things that I haven't worn in years. I need new hosiery, though; does that count?

No jewlery for me.
I may buy one new outfit before pesach.
Although I'm very much considering, going shopping for DH - suprising him with new shirts, a tie - he really needs those.. Hmm..

hi there everyone.
while I am loathe to respond to this thread (who cares what everyone gets, just to make others feel bad?) anyway, I lost lots of weight this year, and have lots of clothing in size xl and 14, 16, 18 and would love to give it to someone who could use it.
you would have to pick it up from me in flatbush and take it all ( I hate keeping things I dont need or use) so pm me and we can work out a time.
thanks and good shabbos and we should all have a healthy and enjoyable yom tov

I'm due the week after Pesach, so I don't think it's worth going shopping for clothing right now. Although the weather did suddenly get a lot warmer and all my maternity clothes are for winter weather. I did buy nursing bras and nightgowns. Does that count?
