Tell me I'm not the only one with a 30+ page drama/medical/mild romance/damsel in distress fantasy written solely for my own enjoyment. I am trying to convince myself that I am not totally abnormal. (Okay, I probably am.)

I wish if I had these pathetic fantasies I could at least have them with something of more general interest so others might enjoy them!

I doubt you're the only one... but really, why do you care? If you enjoy it and have a good way to express yoyr creativity, I say GO GIRL!
I still plan to sit down and write exactly as you describe, for my own enjoyment. Right now I'm at a very busy stage of my life. Your post actually inspires me to try ti make time for it.

I wouldn't publish it, it's just a novelette, 12,000 words or so. I'd post it, but I first have to convince myself that someone else would read it and not cringe!

Often when people have a story that isn't long enough to be a novel, they publish it along with a collection of short stories. I've seen that happen to some of the shorter magazine serials.
