It’s so disturbing that no one was rescued since 20 hours ago 😭
I know the reason behind it but I feel so desperate for the work to get done quicker!

One kid was rescued a few hours ago under some ruble.

Yes that was a miracle. But also from on top of the rubble right after the collapse. They heard him and found his fingers and they were able to pull him out. He was from the few people that were pulled out, from the surface. The mother whose leg was amputated. Another died. And there were about 35 that we rescued from different trapped parts of the torn building/hallway, all around that time early. Nothing since and nobody from the rubble. But we will keep our hopes up.

Somehow people understand an accident. Meron was an abnormal amount of people dying in an abnormal way.

This is just as abnormal. People went to sleep and then their beds went flying down with their entire apartments 12 stories and got crushed. It wasn’t an accident.

Of course they are different but both were completely unexpected and horrifically traumatizing.
Another difference for me personally was that in meron I knew some people and here I don’t which made meron a drop closer to home but of course I’m heartbroken over every loss of life.

He was rescued by a civilian walking their dog nearby right after and heard his screams and they were able to dig him out. A diff mother was saved also.
Unfortunately no one recently but they say they hear banging but the dogs aren’t sensing anything. And they are trying to search from on top and beneath.

How is a 12 floor apartment building imploding with 40 apts a normal thing.
When you stay in a tall building do you think it may collapse?
It’s a 1 in million chance experts are saying to happen in America. For a building to just pancake like that.
That isn’t an accident.
That is terrifying.
