I’m renting a house and getting kicked out 10am. We want to make the most of the day and fly back that night. Suggestions please?

I assume that you're not getting kicked out, just that check out is at 10.
You can do jungle island, a boat ride, the sky wheel, everglades alligator farm/air boat.

Miami itself, or "near" Miami, as in Dade and Broward counties? Need something kid-friendly?
I would say:
- Airboat ride
- Frost Museum of Science (great for kids)
- Aventura Mall
- Aspaclaria Judaica
- If you're way down south, there are many farms and plant nurseries with kids' activities
