"]I agree with all of babypink's comments and I enjoyed everyone else's too.
I didn't like how Libi looked in the wedding flashback. The wedding is when a woman is at her most beautiful and she looked disappointing. It made me wonder if Hadas Yaron moved on to star in a different film and they had another actress stand in for her. Her gown was awful too, stiff and fit her poorly, didn't show off her figure the way the clothes she wore in earlier episodes did. Both Libi as a kallah and her gown look better in the wedding portrait Akiva painted than in the post wedding scene.
I think Racheli will become the next pretty girl Akiva is interested in. When Akiva told her off and insulted her it reminded me of a lot of other romance plot lines where the couple start out fighting with each other and end up in love. I don't think she's going to be Ruchami's surrogate.
Some things are so authentic they could only have been written by insiders but there's the occasional gaffe, like Shira telling Yosse'le to write on her hand. Shulem Shtisel is the best actor ever and I don't think any of you will argue with me about that.
Totally. I'm actually not so impressed with Michael Aloni in this season so far. Or maybe it's just the screen writing that's at fault. Somehow his character seems flatter than before.

I don't think it's a gaffe. I think Shira is a little bit off/different.

I agree etky.
Dov Glikman is Shulem Shtisel, they're one person. I can't imagine him without the beard and peyos. I can see him going home to his apartment in Meah Shearim after filming and stopping at shtiblach for mariv and at Nechama bakery for rogelach.
Michael Aloni is acting a part. Akiva comes across as a character in a play, showing emotions the screenwriter spelled out in the script but not living them. I have no problem imagining him in jeans and a tee shirt relaxing in his apartment in Tel Aviv or Herzliya after his day at the studio ends.

Omg agreed. The Sheitels this season are all horrible.

Yes gown is not done well. Nor is her hair/wig. She needs a veil!
I also was wondering if it's still Hadas Yaron.

Shira says she gets frightened, I think. Or anxious. There's trouble ahead there.

Dov Glikman speaks Yiddish that‘s why he appears so authentic, in my eyes at least

About the shidduch mixup:
I thought it was cute that Menucha said, "this is not a Chaim Walder story!" The first thing I thought of was that they copied the idea from one of Chaim Walder's stories.

There were a few hints during the date that foreshadowed that she was safardi. She called him Yossi, and he said "I'm usually called Yossela." Yossela is clearly not a sefardi pronunciation.
Also, "ochila," he pronounced it "Ochila" with the stress on the first syllable. And she said "oCHIla" with the stress on the second syllable. (Anyone else found Yossela's pronunciation weird? Yes, many words are pronounced differently between ashkenazi and sefardim, but I wouldn't think that Ochila is one of them..

The best hint for me was when she said: „Rachmanut!“ I was like - what? Yossele would habe said rachmones

A lot of people are commenting on how Libby looked, that she didn't look as good as she did in season 2.
I think it was definitely the same actress. But they somehow made the scene look very dark. Almost like it was shrouded in darkness. I wonder if this was done on purpose to hint to her not really being alive. It was all in Akiva's imagination and memory.
I once heard that the coloring in the Harry Potter movies got darker as they went along to reflect that the books/plotline gets darker. The coloring in the first one is bright, but by the time you get to the last movie, the coloring is much more eerie. So possibly this technique was used here as well, to affect the mood of the viewer.

It's so stereotypical that Yossela falls in love with the first girl he meets. Very true to life.
I loved how Gitty is all no nonsense about it, while Lipa is touched by his son's professions of love. Lipa is a romantic soul.

Can someone explain to me what was the "pgam" with the Weiss family that Menucha was hinting to, and therefore pressuring them not to delay with shidduchim for Yossela? Was it that Lipa had that fling in season 1 where he was OTD for a bit?

Definitely. Also that Ruchami made her own shidduch at a ridiculous age, I think.

Yes, such a romantic soul - at Gitti's expense Twisted Evil
And I'll never forgive him for the baby naming deceit that he pulled on her.
Two horrific betrayals.
Gitti has good reason to be pragmatic about her son's shidduch and to seek someone 'safe' for him.

I don't think she'll be a love interest for Akiva. Remember that other artist woman they had him hanging out with in a studio? The one who taught him to push away pain?

If they do end up together, it's just way too shmaltzy. I liked it that in previous seasons, just because a new girl showed up didn't mean Akiva fell in love with her instantly.

I also think that Akiva acted horribly to her. That was mean what he said. He knew what she meant. That poor girl deserves way better than a mean widower.

As for Shulem, it's nice that he "won", but let's be honest. If in real life we found out that a principal hit our kid, we'd call for his resignation.

The shaitels are actually better than a lot of those in Kiryat sefer.
They're the ones people whose parents aren't supporting them can afford.

Hmmm. She's Racheli, right? Like Rachel, the wife of R' Akiva Wink
Alternately, maybe she will be playing a part in the Ruchami/Hanina surrogacy story. There is also a Rachel/infertility connection there....

I could write a book on “one shidduch according to the rules”. What rules? Who made the rules? You want your child to find a good person to build a relationship with... It was the one time I wanted desperately to contact a character and have a talk with her. Of course Gitty @Neta Riskin has no interest in my opinions on shidduchim. The entire subject would probably put her to sleep.

What did Chanina's Rav say to him after he asked about surrogacy? I didn't understand the B'dieved and L'Hatchila part.
