I'm anonymous bec this name will identity me. Paltiel. My great great grandfather was Paltiel. My uncle was Paltiel and now my little nephew bears this unique name.

My great grandfather was Oizer . I guess that’s the same as Oyser. But in Russia , with the Yiddish they spoke back then, the cholam was pronounced as a Tzeirei. So he was known as “Eizer”

No way! I’ve never heard of anyone else using that name. So cool. This ancestor of mine was from Lithuania. Was yours also?
And you’re so right about being a family. The connectedness of the Jewish people not only spiritually but historically and ethnically is such a beautiful, inspiring thing.

My former neighbor’s son was “Zurech” . You hear it often enough in Chasidish circles.

Actually it's not in this case. She is named after someone who's name was Tuna.
