I still don't get it. So what if another 12 trains are in transit? Each one is an hour ahead of the one behind it, so you wouldn't pass any of those. I still say the answer is 12 trains for the trains going in the opposite direction, and that is that!

Lol. Glad I’m not the only one with a fried brain. 12 were in transit before you sat on, another 12 leaving while you’re in transit so you’ll be passing all 24. Being that you’re traveling in the opposite direction you’re meeting a train every half hour instead of hour. If you’d be sitting in the train station for 12 hours (far alla monna sonim, grandma wud say) that’s when you’d only see 12-13.
