Blush! I don't have weekly short term goals!

Is it useful to set short term goals for each week?

I didn’t mean something that needed major goal setting.

For example, my goals for this week is to finish pre school shopping for the kids, get the girls’ hair checked for nits, perhaps start thinking of Yom Tov etc. nothing heroic!

What did you accomplish today? Hope this won’t make you blush again.

It indicates that you either have no place, no need, or no money for a big freezer! Laugh

Are you happy that summer’s over?

Or there's nowhere to be found...

Yes and no. I like the summer a lot but kids need REGULAR schedule. So I guess I am more happy than not. Bh

Are your kids excited to go back to school?

Yes, I believe all kids around the globe were desperate for school by now. Davening for a healthy school year without interruptions.

Aren’t you freaked out by the fact that last year this time we didn’t know what covid-19 means?

Actually Covid-19 did not even exist that time last year, the virus mutated between september and november 2019...
Yes, that's really, really creepy.
I feel as if we live in a dystopic science fiction movie.

actually I once saw such a movie from the 70s, where a deadly epidemy breaks out. Never would I ever have dreamt that this could become a reality.

All my life I was certain that humankind was over big epidemies, thanks to medicine and vaccines. Turns out I was wrong...

Also, those 70s science fiction movies tended to portray people running around in space suits. Which turned out not to be true... except they did to disinfect the streets in Wuhan! Mindboggling!

On the other hand, we are lucky that covid-19 is not as deadly as MERS or ebola! This really would have put us in a plague-like situation. Creepy... Imagine how people would jump at each other's throats when they suspect them of carrying a deadly virus!

Meridian 0 has been set after the observatory in Greenwich, near London, or rather in London, meanwhile...

But it goes half around the world, from the North pole to the South pole (or vice versa)... So France or Spain or Algeria or Mali would also be in the t'chum...

Is the Nick "dankbar" yiddish?

Yes, its meaning is grateful.

I am thankful to Hashem, whatever He sends my way & all my blessings

Does that equate to equator, or is it the mid of globe vertically?

Meridians are half-circles that go from northpole to southpole. They go from 0 to 180 east and 0 to 180 west... and at the opposite of Greenwich you would find the date line... The time zones are defined (more or less) along those meridians.

Parallels are full circles that go around the earth, from east to west, and back to where they came from... the equator is the 0 parallel.

So yes, any meridian would be perpendicular to the equator...

Do you like geography?

Ain’t happening. If I’m out of coffee I’ll borrow, buy, or steal coffee.
No second choice there.

I love math too, but coffee even more.

Did you shop any Yom tov clothes yet?
