this shabbos I read "Yoruba girl dancing" by Simi bedford. It's actually for young girls. I found it on the street and I liked it.
In general I finish one book per shabbos (about 250 pages). If the book is longer, I read about 250 pages every shabbos, then it's like a serial. I like that even better.
What I liked best was "Midnight's Children" by Salman Rushdie and "A suitable boy" by Vikram Seth

"Suitable boy" is about shidduchim in India... I loved it...
